U.S. Rep. Matt Rosendale (R-MT) was one of the eight GOP House members who voted to oust Kevin McCarthy from the speaker's chair. Rosendale said McCarthy could not represent the GOP and serve as speaker and, at the same time, recruit more Democrats to vote for his legislation. "When you have more Democrats voting for the debt ceiling package than you do Republicans, that was a major problem," Rosendale said.
