The House is considering a $1.7 trillion budget deal, per a deal that Speaker Mike Johnson cut with U.S. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer. U.S. Rep. BobGood (R-VA-05), however, says it will increase spending by $20 billion over last year's omnibus bill that many Republicans appropriately criticized as terrible for the country. "Here we have a House Republican majority, and we are doing essentially what Democrats want to do," Good said. "The proof will be in the fact that Democrats will vote for this overwhelmingly, and it will essentially keep in place the Biden/Pelosi/Schumer policies that are destroying the country."
