CPAC Chair Matt Schlapp had the foresight and courage to endorse President Trump early on. "We had Donald Trump come to our very first CPAC after he left office," Schlapp tells John Fredericks. "A lot of people were counting Donald Trump out. Some board members asked me to disinvite him because of January 6 and other concerns. I said 'No, we are going to stick with him.' I think history shows that was the right decision."
