Colonel Derek Harvey says Israel has been very patient and has been a punching bag, not just for the past seven months, but going beyond that when it suffered assaults, attacks on embassies, and missile firings from Syria and Lebanon. "This is an opening. You can no longer just punch back. You have to get them to stop it," Harvey said. "You have to reestablish deterrence on Israel's terms. They cannot count on the United States."
