Representative James Comer (R-KY) suspects many of the anti-Israel protestors he saw at George Washington University’s pro-Palestine encampment were not actually students. “I was shocked at the things they were saying. We saw lots of Palestine flags, lots of Palestinian clothing. You had different chants, one chant said ‘death to Israel.’ I mean it was stuff that you would never believe would be in the United States,” says Rep. Comer.
