Former Secret Service Officer Gary Byrne says the Secret Service is trying to play “both sides of the fence” by claiming they were in charge of security the day of former President Donald Trump’s assassination attempt while also blaming local law enforcement for failures. Byrne adds that former Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle’s reasoning for not having an officer on the “sloped roof” the gunman used was the first sign she didn’t want her job.
